Launched globally, the EX30 was introduced through a whimsical film featuring Volvo Cars’ CEO Jim Rowan in mini, regular, and giant sizes, playfully unboxing the car to highlight its key features. This creative approach shifts perceptions of what a fully electric Volvo can be, showcasing a brand serious about its values yet lighthearted in delivery.
I've been involved from the design and conception of the box itself to the creative direction of the entire film. Prior to the premiere, teasers were shared on social media, and tiny miniatures were sent to select influencers to unbox live on launch day—just like Jim.
